Ever since Håkan was a child, he's had a great interest in expressing himself through music. He started to play the trombone early, and joined different ensembles and orchestras. Later on, he started to play the piano and guitar, and played to different choirs. But it was not until he tried out the bass that his music performance started for real.
In the doommetal-band called Mirador he got to play the music he liked and listened to the most, at the same time as he continued to play to choirs and other bands. At Liljeholmen his playing skills increased, and the genres he was playing expanded to include everything from jazz to funk and gospel.
After that, Håkan went to the Collage of Music in Örebro. During his time there, he played the bass for the gospelchoir Joybells, where he also became the bandmaster. With his 11 Years with Joybells, Håkan has made around 300 performances, from small gigs in churches to huge TV-productions and CD-recordings togehter with famous artists and tours through Europe, Russia and USA.
In Joybells, Håkan found the friends that later on should become the Akosia family.
